My services

I believe that effective therapy relies on the strength of the relationship between the clinician and the client, so my treatment is planned with the individual’s needs in mind. I offer Individual and Couple psychotherapy, as well as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) services to adults and couples experiencing the following difficulties:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Trauma
  • Sexuality and Gender (LGBTQI+)
  • Relationship difficulties/conflict
  • Life changes/adjustment (loss; divorce; developmental phases)
  • Personality disorders
  • Personal growth and development

What can I expect? Deciding to embark on the journey of therapy may feel daunting and often comes at a time when life feels generally out of balance or when our usual way of managing fails. The initial phase is therefore used to gain a better understanding of the client and to establish how therapy can be beneficial.

Please note: During the initial two sessions a comprehensive clinical evaluation is completed in order to establish the most appropriate treatment for each client/couple.

Billing

My practice is registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders therefore my fees may be claimed back from medical aid provided that your medical aid benefits cover psychological services. It is important that clients determine the limits of their medical aid benefits prior to the first session as my practice does not claim fees directly from medical aid on behalf of clients. My fees are in line with prescribed medical aid rates and a marginally lower rate is charged for cash payments. Accounts can therefore be settled via EFT or in cash and an invoice with the relevant information will be provided for medical aid claims. Credit card facilities are not available.
